In the context of her PhD research on the fashion company Clothkits, Nicola Miles (Brighton University) will examine a child’s garment from the late-1960s with an analysis of the materials, construction, and pattern design. There is an unexpected twist in what appears to be a ready-made garment: this analysis will reveal an alternative approach to children’s fashion in the 1960s.
